Channel Activity Detection (CAD) sensitivity

Hi,

Assuming using recommended CAD parameters from Application Note AN1200.48 (CAD performance evaluation), what is CAD sensitivity compared to normal RX mode sensitivity?

I wanted to use CAD with switchover to RX to detect preamble and receive packet if detected. Will such usage degrade overall sensitivity, or it’s the same reception mechanism inside?

I tested for this some time back on the SX1276, there CAD detect was loosing around 4-5dBm of sensitivity.

Maybe they improved on that for the SX126X ?
