Carrier/Activity sensing

Dear support,
Since I’ve discovered Semtech transceivers, and their use in my applications, I’ve been struggling to perform a somewhat simple action, check for signal detection (similar to carrier sense check) while in RX state.
I’ve not experienced on chip yet.
Is the CadDetected bit raised when in setRx and not in setCAD ?
And for *FSK operations, is there a similar feature?
Such a detection is useful to resynch two nodes while limiting RX period of each. And does not require use of long preamble which are quite not easy on the battery life.
Many thanks in advance,
Topaz

ps: I’ve been struggling with the same issue on sx126x. But had to move to 8x family to circumvent worldwide compatibility.
